General

How long does it take you to get back to me?

I generally answer messages within 12-24 hours, sometimes faster. This may vary with seasonality, race weekends or holidays.

Can you work with my crazy schedule?

Of course! That’s our specialty!! We pride ourselves in helping you keep your friends, family, career, and social life intact, even when training for an full distance triathlon.

How many hours per week do I have to train?

It depends on how many hours a week you have available that week. We will cater your plan to fit into your schedule week by week.

I work full time and have kids, is this something I can realistically do?

Absolutely!! We have coached hundreds of busy parents to their finish lines and goals.

My schedule changes weekly, including frequent travel, is this still something I can still do?

Yes. We work with you weekly in our full-service coaching plan so we check in with you to get your upcoming availability every single week.

I have several group workouts I attend each week, can I keep doing those?

Please do! Many of our athletes are motivated by group workouts and are in it for the social and team aspects. We will incorporate your favorite group workouts into your plan. We want you to enjoy the process and keep your friends.

Are your training plans customized to me?

Our monthly and custom coaching plans & training plans are yes, 100% custom to you. We will only give you workouts that are moving you toward your goal and that fit in with your schedule.

Do I have to have an event picked out already?

Not at all. We can start general training toward a future event, but I would recommend picking an event sooner rather than later so we can cater your training toward that specific event. Plus you’ll be more motivated and excited to train if you have a date set.

Why are your plans better than the free plans I found online?

We customize our plans 100% to you and your needs. If your lifestyle suddenly changes (job, relationship, illness, injury, location, goals, etc), we will make changes in your plan to accommodate anything that unexpectedly pops up in your life.

A one-size-fits all isn’t often an ideal approach to life. We don’t think it should be for training and racing either.

What if I can’t swim but want to do a triathlon?

Lucky for you, we specialize in teaching adults to swim! If you’re local, we can meet and do swim lessons. If you aren’t local, we have a step by step proven system to learn to swim on your own.

Am I locked into a contract?

Never. We are here for you and to help you succeed. If at any time you feel like you aren’t happy with our coaching arrangement, you can cancel at any time. Please give us 30 days notice as we are constantly working on adjusting your specific training plans.

Can you help me with my nutrition?

Yes. We can help with overall nutrition as well as race day nutrition.

Do you offer in-person training?

We do for an additional fee plus travel costs if not local.

Can my friend and I share a training plan?

If you both have the same exact goals, are at the same exact speed/fitness level, and have the same amount of time to train then it would work to have the same training plan.

Will I get discounts on gear/races?

Yes! Any discounts we get, we will pass along to you! We are always looking for awesome products and races to offer and we are open to finding great deals on stuff that you need!!

Coaching

Who is Coaching for?

Coaching is for anyone who wants guidance on training for an event or doesn’t want to have to figure out of their training is effective. We take the guesswork out for you. This includes first timers that have no idea what they are doing through elite athletes who want to compete at a high level and qualify for world championship events.

What are my Coaching options?

We offer full-service monthly coaching, monthly training plans, full event training plans, accountability plans, one-on-one in person sessions, phone sessions, and swim analysis.

How does Coaching work?

It depends on your needs and specific situation, but we will customize a plan that works for you and your lifestyle, goals, and budget. Our most popular plan is monthly coaching. With this plan we would design a program for you weekly and touch base daily to make sure you’re always on the path toward your goals.

I am a total beginner, can you help me?

Absolutely! We will make sure you understand your training plan and racing strategy every step of the way. We are available through text and email whenever you need us and we will hold your hand as needed to get you to the finish line.

What is the cost to hire you as a coach?

Why should I hire a Coach?

Most people hire us because they don’t want to have to figure out if what they are doing for training is going to help them reach their goals. We specialize in athletes with crazy busy lives who don’t have time to follow a generic plan.  Our coaches will help you discover your potential and push you outside your comfort zone to help you find the strength you never knew you had.

Why should I hire you as my Coach?

I expect you to check in with me daily so we can constantly cater your plan toward you and your goals, lifestyle, time restraints, job, kids, social life, travel, illness, injury, mood, and anything else that comes up in our crazy lives these days. I write out your plan to fit into your life, I don’t expect you to rearrange your entire life just to complete an event. I am here to make this a simple enjoyable process for you. The finish line is your reward, but the journey is what you’ll remember.
